Lannie Jo Roberts

Lannie Jo Roberts finished his life on earth Saturday, February 12, 2022 from Mercy hospital in Marietta, Love County, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years and 9 months. Lannie was born in the Gene Autry Community to the parentage of Rosetta Williams-Roberts and Cotral Roberts Sr. June 12, 1952.

Lannie Jo graduated from Springer High School with the Class of 1970. He had a great love for Basketball and during his High School years, Lannie was a most talented player. He loved hunting, fishing, watching deer with binoculars, welding, tinkering with cars and mowing the grass. He thought no one could do as good a job as he, when it came to mowing his lawn!

Lannie Jo worked many years as a tugger for the Michelin Tire Plant until ill health caused him an early retirement.

Lannie Jo and the former Naomi Clay were married April 14, 1972 in Gainesville, TX. The family made their home in Springer most of their lives. Lannie was associated with the United Pentecostal Church.

Preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Margaret Roberts, a brother and sister-in-law, Travis and Doris Roberts, and a brother-in-love, Leon Williams, he leaves to cherish his memories a faithful and loving wife of almost 50 years, Naomi Faye Roberts, of the home in Springer; 4 sons. Brandon Roberts, Eric Roberts and Brandy, Meche Roberts, and Shedric Roberts and Ashley; 5 brothers, Evon Roberts and Rose, Oscar Roberts and Selina, Bobby Roberts and Denise, Cotral Roberts and Mattie, Harold Roberts and Marcella; 2 sisters, Linda Sue Rogers, and Sandra Brown and Joe; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, a special niece, Jarodsha Douglas; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
